Our strategy to survive and thrive in 2021 and beyond in the tourism sector in Tenerife

We would be avoiding the elephant in the room to not mention the Coronavirus pandemic and how it has hit the tourism industry. From the very start of the pandemic we have been worked closely with our holiday home owners and reacted to guests' needs in order to keep our owners' businesses alive.

During the summer of 2020, we shifted our focus to local and national tourism and last-minute, flexible bookings. This allowed us to save the summer while securing the owners' profits. We turned an extraordinary situation into an opportunity and took advantage of the situation to invest in the future of SuperHost Tenerife.

We have increased our team, the quality of our portfolio of holiday homes, improved our website and user experience and the scope of our digital marketing. We also won a grant from the Canarian and European Government to boost the digitalisation of local businesses.

We continue to hold tight for the holiday rental boom that we are sure to see once it is deemed safe for us to travel again. There’s one thing for sure, people are choosing well-cared for private holiday homes over hotel complexes.
